Kill Devil Hills — GMG Athletics has begun an exciting new chapter, hiring Christian Bateman as its new sports journalist covering both high school and college sports in our region and ECU Athletics. Bateman is the company’s first full-time sports reporter and aims to help elevate GMG into a premier media outlet.
This hire marks a fresh direction for GMG Athletics as it expands further into sports coverage. Highlighting the success of young athletes has always been the company’s focus, and this step strengthens its commitment to delivering top-tier coverage for local high schools and ECU.
For Bateman, the opportunity means a great deal.
