GMG Athletics Playoffs: Second Round
It’s week two of playoff football in North Carolina, and we’ve got a stacked slate of local teams still in the hunt. After first-round wins by Camden County, Hertford County, and several schools from the local 1A and 2A conferences, we now have a packed list of home hosts including Currituck, John A. Holmes, Manteo, Pasquotank, Northeastern, and Martin County.
The Game of the Week features Currituck hosting perennial powerhouse Havelock on Friday night at 7 p.m. — a matchup that’s already giving off regional-final energy.
Currituck has put up video-game numbers all season, while Havelock continues to embrace the reputation that program has built for decades. The Knights are hungry to take down another storied program, and Coach Bossi has shown his team is willing to go toe-to-toe with anybody.
