In the world of the transfer portal the talent at the high school level can most certainly be overlooked.Â
The Tight End Chase Jopp, signing with ODU as of Friday, has locked in on his sole division one offer— the monarch coaching staff offered Chase Jopp over spring break. Chase Jopp stated, “They said they need someone like me at their program so they showed me the love.” Old Dominion recruited Jopp to play at the tight end position.Â
Tight end Chase Jopp is elated to play for the Monarchs Football program. Jopp, having the drive and energy to put Camden County on the map.Â
Jopp will have the opportunity to play against the purple and gold of East Carolina this season, a school that Jopp was most interested in playing for.Â
In the recruiting of Jopp, Old Dominion has the addition of a young man whose leadership characteristics are high.
Chase Jopp stats are as follows:
- At the Quarterback position, Jopp had 11 completions in 27 attempts for 117 yards.
- Playing at running back, Jopp toted the rock for 161 yards on 44 carries.
- In his time at wide out, Jopp caught 15 passes and ran for 138 yards.
- Over his 4 year high school career, Jopp was an all out blitz attack on defense with 113 solo tackles, 42.5 tackles for loss, 12 sacks,and 3 recovered fumbles.
