First Flight Stands Its Own In A Clash With Greene Central In The Night Cap

Greene Central closer to the host of Farmville Central in distance came in as one of the fan favorites but could not silence the shooters, falling 69-66 to First Flight in the MLK Showcase. Greene Central now being officially 10-5 on the season, and First Flight being slightly above .500 at 9-8. 

Greene Central got behind early due to a hot start from the Nighthawks , who poured in 21 points in the first quarter stemming from support from their scrappy bunch. 

Greene Central came to in the second quarter going on a 23-20 run having the score at 41-35 at the half. Judah Carlyle earned GMG Athletics player of the game with a career high of 31 points. 

The rams offensive performance slowed down in the second half. Greene Central had four scorers in double figures causing the offense to find its way in a one possession game late into the second half. 

First Flight will be all in to stack wins when they face the Hertford County Bears Thursday night at 7:30 PM at First Flight High School.
