JH Rose entered the tournament being the fan favorite and had plenty of talent behind their talented guards and the sky scrappers in the presence of their post players in Kahrin Highsmith who would help seal the win for the Rampants.Â
Gates County went toe to toe keeping the game within one possession for most of the game but struggled to contain the stifling presence of Highsmith. Nevertheless, the game was extremely tight as a Goliath big name program of JH rose pulled away from a fighting David in 2A Gates County.Â
Gates fought to the end all night, having the lead over JH rose at the half, but the size of the Rampants proved to be too much for the injury ridden Red Barons.Â
Clemons, the Isaiah Thomas like point guard, led the way with 14, while dishing assists to Kahrin Highsmith who would also get the bulk of her scoring off of offensive putbacks and rebounds.
