Landon Dodson delivered a huge performance at the plate Tuesday night, driving in four runs to lead Pasquotank County to a 7–6 win over Currituck County.
Pasquotank tallied eight solid hits in the contest. Nathan Rice and Dodson each recorded two hits, while McDaniels, Beech, Raynor, and Harris added one apiece to round out the offensive effort.
Currituck County struggled to contain the Panthers’ bats, as Pasquotank consistently applied pressure throughout the game.
With the win, Pasquotank secures one of its biggest conference victories in recent memory. Meanwhile, Currituck County relinquishes control of the regular-season conference title race.
The Panthers and Red Knights will meet again for Game 2 of the series Friday night at Pasquotank County High School, with first pitch set for 6:00 PM.
