Camden County’s fate for the first round of playoffs was announced as of yesterday. The NCHSAA revealed the brackets yesterday showing Camden County will square off against West Columbus at Camden Friday night at 7.
This will be the Camden County Bruins first time in the playoffs under head coach Jakori Evans.
The Bruin BreakdownÂ
The Bruins (3-7) come into the playoffs very banged up and beat down by the schedule and hits of their opponents – having multiple players out with concussions. Jakori Evans team has only scored double digit points in 3 out of their 10 games and due to that effect has kept the defense beaten in the red zone tremendously.
West Columbus, on the other hand, comes to Camden riding a two-game win streak giving them 2 of their 3 wins.Â
Second Round Goliath
Salivating to get back to playing football in the second round is the monster that is the Tarboro Vikings, who has the triple option that the service academies run down to a T.It will be Tarboro’s eighth consecutive season going into the playoffs as a 1 seed, getting home field advantage as long as they keep mowing down opponents all the way to states.
The second round will be hosted November 14th at 7 PM at Tarboro High School, waiting for whoever decides to end their seasons fate next Friday night.
