Four-Star Point Guard Kaharri Coleman Set to Visit Clemson

Written by Christian Bateman

Clemson, S.C.- One of North Carolina's top basketball prospects will be in Clemson this weekend as four-star guard Kaharri Coleman prepares to take an unofficial visit to Clemson University.

Coleman, a 2028 point guard from West Charlotte High School, is expected to visit the Tigers and get an up-close look at Brad Brownell's program and Littlejohn Coliseum. The trip will mark Coleman's first reported visit to Clemson.

The visit comes as Coleman's recruitment continues to expand. The 6-foot-3 guard currently holds offers from a growing list of high-major programs, including Alabama, LSU, Kansas, Florida State, Wake Forest, NC State, Cincinnati, Mississippi State and others.

Clemson's interest adds another ACC program to the recruitment of one of the state's most highly regarded young guards.

Coleman has established himself as a nationally ranked prospect in the 2028 class. Rivals currently ranks him No. 39 nationally, No. 9 among point guards and No. 1 in North Carolina in its Industry ranking. Other national recruiting services also have Coleman among the country's top prospects.

Coleman's standing in North Carolina is similarly strong. 247Sports has previously ranked him No. 1 in the state, while Prep Hoops' most recent North Carolina rankings placed him No. 3.

On the court, Coleman has earned attention for his ability to create off the dribble, attack the basket and make plays for himself and his teammates. Phenom Hoops described him as a dynamic creator with strong vision, explosiveness and the ability to pressure the rim.

Coleman also played a major role in West Charlotte's 2026 state championship run. The Lions defeated Hoggard 70-68 in the NCHSAA 8A state championship game, with Coleman earning the Charlie Adams Most Valuable Player award.

Now, Clemson will have an opportunity to make an impression on one of the country's most closely watched players in the 2028 recruiting class.

Coleman's unofficial visit this weekend gives him another chance to evaluate a high-major program as his recruitment continues to develop.
